This isn’t David vs Goliath.

There’s a scene in the first Indiana Jones movie where a swordsman confronts Indy with a big nasty blade and lots of fancy moves.

Indy pulls out his gun and shoots him. Marion had been kidnapped and he had no time for that BS.

No one questions the morality of Indy’s action despite his clear technological edge. Sure the guy only had a sword and Indy had a gun, but there’s no question he meant harm to Indy.

That’s a much better analogy than the one you’re claiming.
